Turkish warplanes launched at dawn on Thursday raids on areas in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq, causing heavy material losses.
According to "Sky News" Turkish fighters bombed suburbs and areas of Amadiyah town of Dohuk province in the region.
The raids resulted in severe damage to water and electricity networks in these areas, the destruction of a fuel station and the cutting of the main road between the town and the city center of Dohuk, according to local officials.
In late May, Turkey announced the launch of an operation against the PKK in mountainous areas of Iraqi Kurdistan.
