The French Foreign Ministry on Friday condemned the bombing of refugee camps, calling for an immediate end to the fighting in the Syrian city of Idlib.
The Syrian regime is approaching the strategic city of Khan Sheikhoun, where its forces have taken the villages of Kafr Ein, Khirbet Murshed, Al-Muntar and Tal 'Aas in Edlib countryside from armed opposition factions.
The city's strategic importance lies in its location on a major highway that runs through Idlib and connects Damascus and Aleppo.
The United Nations and aid agencies have warned of a new humanitarian disaster in northwestern Syria.
